Front Cover
When I had my photos, I found it much easier to develop my front cover and DPS. I put this photo into my front cover and pressed 'cmd' & 't' and held the shift key to make sure it didn't stretch the image. I adjusted the tone, contrast and colour of the image as well as making it sharper using the unsharp mask.
Instead of my initial plan I completely changed my idea last minute and one of the idea changes was the background colour in the shoot so this affected how my product would look. I kept the pink and blue and changed the colours of some of the sell lines, not using as much white as it got lost on the page when I used it, so now the sell lines will be more noticeable to the target audience.
I have changed my masthead so that the letters go all the way across the top of the page and I did this by changing the kerning of the letters. I think that the masthead has a lot more impact now that it takes up more of the page. To get the model above the masthead, I used the lasso tool to cut around her head and arms, I copied and pasted it so that it was a new layer and brought that layer in front of the masthead using 'cmd' & ']'.
